Newland Welcomes Eco-Builder Ichijo to Reed’s Crossing
Reed’s Crossing is pleased to welcome the award-winning, Ichijo USA to our impressive line-up of builders. Ichijo is currently preparing to break ground on their first model home and will eventually build a total of 23 homes in this initial offering. Construction will begin this fall with their model available for home buyers to see in early 2020.
Going the Extra (Green) Mile
Building on their experience as the creator of the first net-zero energy townhome community in the United States, each new Ichijo home at Reed’s Crossing will aim for the Platinum Level of Earth Advantage certification, with the goal of offering a “Zero Energy Ready” home certification for each structure.
Ichijo homes will feature natural materials and contemporary designs, including panelized construction containing additional insulation and rainscreens, created to reduce energy consumption while increasing indoor air and environmental quality. Buyers will have the option to upgrade to solar energy, increasing their energy savings even more. Plus, with a Nest thermostat included, each home will become a connected home.
Building a Sustainable Future Together
The inclusion of Ichijo and its eco-friendly homes further solidifies Reed’s Crossing’s commitment to sustainability. “Long before Reed’s Crossing broke ground, one of our primary aspirations was to help build a community that was both responsible and eco-friendly, which means working with builders that share our vision,” said David Brentlinger, vice president of operations for Reed’s Crossing. “Ichijo impressed us with their overarching commitment to the highest levels of sustainability without sacrificing style and comfort, making them an ideal addition to our community.”
Ichijo USA is the fifth builder to join the development of Reed’s Crossing, along with David Weekley Homes, Holland, Lennar and Stone Bridge Homes. Explore our available homes here.
